Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Coco is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and will be microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST) once his quarantine and vetwork are completed.

Coco is a lovely boy who wants nothing but to please you and play with his ball! He arrived in Yass pound through no fault of his own, and has since gone from strength to strength with crate training, sleeping soundly in his crate overnight.

Coco has a true people-oriented border collie nature, so would thrive as an only dog in an active household. Coco seems to mostly snooze during the day but as he is a working breed, he needs a daily walk and a ball-throwing session. Coco reliably brings the ball back to you, so makes this an easy task!

Coco’s special pink nose is unfortunately caused by Canine Discoid Lupus, a condition also known as “collie nose”. This means Coco must be allowed access to ample shade when outside, as sunlight (especially in summer) can irritate his skin and cause sunburn. Coco is not currently on any medication for the condition.

Coco would love his new family to continue his training, as he is incredibly intelligent and responsive. Being ball-mad, Coco would likely make an excellent candidate for flyball! He walks well on lead (after some initial excitement), so would love a family to take him on adventures. He would likely make an excellent running companion and has also shown excellent recall.
