Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.
Scout is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and will be microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST) once he has completed his quarantine and vetwork.
Scout has found his new home and all going well he will be moving in shortly
Scout has just arrived into care and has immediately established himself as the life of the party. He is an absolute goofball who loves to play, and is easy on the eyes as well! If you’ve been looking for a dog that will always be up for a game of fetch, hide and seek, or tug-of-war, then Scout might just be the dog for you.
Scout isn’t fussy about his playmates, he’ll play with anyone who is willing – other dogs, people, or a squeaky toy if there’s no one around to play with him. His two favourite toys at the moment are his squeaky football and his tennis ball, and he’ll happily fling those around the backyard on his own if you’ve had enough playing for one day.
One of Scout’s quirks is that he loves water– he’ll dive straight into a paddling pool, and will even join you in the shower if you give him half a chance. We haven’t tried him out at the beach or lake yet but we think that would be his idea of heaven.
Don’t be fooled by his suave good looks and big grin, Scout is a smart little pupster who will need a home that will keep his mind and body working. Since coming into care without knowing much at all, Scout has learned to sit, drop and shake hands. He is desperate to please and wriggles his whole body with joy when he learns something new and is told what a good boy he is!
Because Scout is still a puppy at heart, he will need to have another patient doggy pal around to play with, keep him company and teach him the ways of the world. He gets along well with his ancient foster sister, but would probably be happier with a dog a bit closer to his age.
If you are looking for a gorgeous, active little dog, and you have another friendly dog who would like a new mate, then please send some information about yourself and the life you could offer Scout to his foster carer.
