Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Sally is assessed as being in the Gold category in our Perfect Match system and is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and available for $150 (incl GST)

sallyst

Sally is a delightful girl but don’t be fooled by her age of 13yrs and 8 mths; she still has a bit of living to do yet. She is very spritely and would enjoy a walk but at the same time is very content to just lay by your feet keeping you company. Sally knows sit and is reasonable on lead. She has a strong character and likes to have a bit of a discussion and control on the day’s events. She would appear to be a Maltese x with possibly a Silky Terrier or Shih Tzu type dog.

ssallystanding side

Sally would suit a home with either another quiet dog or someone that works from home or is retired. At present she is in a home with 4 other dogs and 2 cats. She would only suit a home with a dog savvy cat that does not run but ignores her.

She would appear to be house trained and does not like to be too far from her owner so would need to be an inside dog. She will need regular grooming and hair appointments at the salon to keep her beautiful coat from getting tangles. Her general health is amazing for her age and her teeth are in remarkable condition.

Sally is eager to find a new home where she can live the life she feels is becoming to her, where she can dote on her carer or maybe that’s the other way around.

samhead

Sam is a gentle fox terrier about six years old. He has a quiet nature, loves his walks but doesn’t like baths.

He is loyal and devoted to his people and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.  He is a bit shy, but makes new friends easily and loves nothing better than to cuddle in close.

sam495

Sam is looking for a quiet home with a retired or semi-retired person or couple. He is easy to have around the house, rarely barks and travels quietly in the car.

sam76

Sam doesn’t mind being in the company of other well-mannered dogs,  but the rough and tumble of a dog park is not for him. Sam is not a good friend for cats.

He is looking for a home where he will be allowed inside and welcomed as a treasured member of the family.

Topsy is a unique little girl with loads of quirky personality and character.  She is an affectionate and loving little cuddle-pot with lots of expression in her dear little face.

Topsy loves to sit on your lap and watch television with you, literally watching television cheering on the footballers and chasing any animals off the screen.

Topsy loves all her family and friends, both dog and human and is ok with cats. She is very close to her doggy friends in the foster home and is always playing and cuddled up to them. She enjoys a lot of contact with her buddies and must be in a home with another friendly dog for companionship. It is most important for her to be a true, included part of her family.

Topsy does have special needs as she has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and early arthritis in her hips.  She will need a family that will be committed to ongoing management of her hip issues and any pain that could be associated with this in the future. It is likely that this will shorten her life but at this time it is very manageable and she is a very happy little dog.  Topsy is also bald on her underside. A number of tests have been undertaken to determine the cause and it appears that it may be pattern alopecia, meaning that hair will not grow. This condition requires regularly baths and a premium quality diet to keep the skin healthy.

All this aside, Topsy is loved by everyone who meets her and is never short on making new friends. She really is one quirky and cool little dog!
