Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Archie is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST).

Archie looking up

What a lovely dog Archie is! The longer he has been in care the more we have fallen in love with him. First up he is very handsome and is more than happy for you to tell him how beautiful he is while you stroke his ears softly.

Archie - 6

He is a great companion, liking to be close by to his family. It is a must that he is allowed to be inside. Archie loves the finer things is life – to be cosy, comfy and well loved.

Archie - 1 (1)

He is generally obedient and can sit on command and will even woof a “please” for his dinner or treats. He is good in the house, though on the odd occasion has checked out what might be on the bench.

Archie - 8

Outside, he loves to stretch his legs and have a daily run / zoomy. He is currently loving his (foster) farm life and wandering around the large house yard but is easy to recall back to you.

Archie - 4

He has been great to take out in public, meeting other people and dogs at the markets with no problems. He does like to be near his family though and draws confidence from them.

Archie - 5

Archie loves to go for drives in the car and walks in interesting places. He is easy to walk on lead and a pleasure to take out.

Archie - 1

Archie was a bit sore in his back/backend when he came into care but has improved immensely. We aren’t entirely sure why (after a number of tests) but it may be the start of a bit of arthritis. After time and care he seems OK now.

Archie will need a home that has another dog for company as he does not like being on his own. He would be very happy to be rehomed with his whippet brother Freddy (they came from the same house originally).

He is looking for a place where he will be loved and pampered.
