Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Gwen is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST).

As far as Gwen is concerned, life is one great big party!

GwenPIC1

This fun-loving girl LOVES to play!

She likes nothing more than to play with other doggos—be it tug-of-war, zoomies, bitey face, or chasies! You name it, she’s up for it!

GwenPIC2-4

She likes to pretend she is a savage beast, growling ferociously (which is barely above a whisper) while she defeats her opponents.

You can watch her play with her friends in these videos:

She’ll gladly play with humans too, if they’re willing.

And if no one is available, she’ll just as easily entertain herself, running up and down the house, throwing her toy in the air, and generally having the time of her life.

GwenPIC4-4

But Gwen also knows when it’s time to chill, and loves to curl up next to her humans on the couch to enjoy some well-earned pats.

GwenPIC5-4

Using her very own irresistible code language, which consists of blinking and squinting adorably at her humans, Gwen can get anyone to melt into a puddle.

GwenPIC6-4

But this girl is much more than fun, sweetness, and good looks; she has the brains to match.

Gwen is super smart, and can learn a new trick in a matter of minutes, because she wants ALL of the treats!

GwenPIC7-4

She can be a little unsure in new situations, and becomes a little reserved, but it’s nothing a few treats and a bit of reassurance can’t fix.

GwenPIC8-2

Gwen gets anxious when left alone, and initially tries to go looking for her people, so to be considered, potential adopters will need:
• minimum of 6-foot/1.8-metre Colorbond fencing, with nothing that can provide a foothold
• another playful dog of a similar age, for fun and companionship
• to spend plenty of time at home (full-time hours are too much for her to cope with).

GwenPIC9-1

Gwen will need to be allowed inside, as part of the family, as she loves to hang out with her people, preferably on the couch. She can be trusted inside when her people are out, and is currently free to go in and out through the dog door. She is good in the car, and walks well on and off lead.

GwenPIC10-1

Gwen is on the smaller side of medium, weighing only about 13 kilos.
