Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Hazel is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and will be microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST) once her quarantine and vetwork are completed.

If you like big dogs you will LOVE Hazel. She is an absolutely gorgeous big girl. She was in the pound for 54 days because they loved her so much. Hazel gets on well with other dogs and is also good with our cats. She is good with our cattle and horses and with our chooks while they are in their run. I would not trust her with free range chooks though.

Hazel is good to bath, good on lead (although can be a little strong at times), great in the car. She is good inside and is house trained and crate trained. Hazel has a lovely, calm and gentle manner. She loves cuddles and loves playing with toys.

Hazel likes to communicate with her people and will talk to you if she wants a toy or to go outside. She will look at you and ‘woo woo’ talk/bark. She almost has us trained for her needs.

Unfortunately Hazel has partial tears in her cruciate ligaments and is under veterinary care (cartrophen). She will need a home who will be prepared to continue to care for her legs as required.

Hazel would love a family who will include her in their daily activities. She likes to be where her people are so would prefer a home where she would be allowed inside. Hazel will suit many different family situations. I don’t normally take dogs as large as Hazel however she has fitted into our family very easily and is very easy to have around.
