Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Shyla is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and will be desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST) once she has completed her quarantine and vet work

Shyla is a very intelligent, timid and active youngster who will need some hands on training as well as plenty of opportunity to exercise and be stimulated. Only appropriate homes to keep her safe and provide appropriate training and exercise will be considered.

She is a loving, friendly, playful and people oriented girl, who loves children and other dogs. The need for some consistent rules to guide her through the chewing puppy phase will be a must. Inclusion in the family activities along with some firm boundaries around the house will assist her to overcome her timid nature. She is keen to know what she can and can’t do, is a quick learner and is eager to please.

Although Shyla has only been in care for a few weeks she has quickly acquired lovely indoor manners; toilet training and sleeping on her bed at night are already conquered. Like most young intelligent dogs without enough exercise or training Shyla could easily become destructive but with daily exercise and attention she will be a rewarding member of the family.

Shyla enjoys playing with the two young children in the household and enjoys being a part of their bedtime routine, sleeping on their bedroom floor until they are asleep.

With continued work on her training, a careful eye on the puppy chewing phase, regular exercise and inclusion in the family life, this pup will be a rewarding addition to the right family.
