Our Statement

ARF is an incorporated association of people in the Canberra (Australia) and surrounding region who rescue dogs from euthanasia and foster them temporarily in their own homes for as long as it takes to find them loving, permanent homes.

Key to the organisation are ARF foster carers who rescue and rehome as many unwanted dogs as possible. ARF also works to establish and develop communication networks for people involved in rescue and rehoming in the region and nationally.

As a small, non-profit, community organisation run entirely by volunteers, ARF works to make it easier for people who want to rescue and foster dogs – in effect ARF is an umbrella organisation supporting rescuers in a variety of ways.

It you wish to join ARF, there is a membership form here.   Membership to ARF is free.   To contact ARF with a general enquiry, please use the Enquiry form below.
