Hemi

Hemi

Animal ID No: ARF657
Rescue Date: 6 January 2021
Adopted Date: 12 February 2021

Hemi has a lot of love to give! he adores his people, they are his whole world!

He is a lot of fun and loves games and training. He has a huge personality and will tell you how he is feeling in his own staffy way of growls, woofs and snorts.

He is very food motivated and also loves to please his people, which makes him awesome to train.

He has been great with the other dogs in the household, respectful of their space when told off and plays tug-of-war and chaseys on the yard. We do feed them separately though as he gets a little carried away at meal times.

Hemi would love a home with a young doggy companion to play with, he is not a fan of spending long periods alone. He loves cuddles in the evenings but tends to find a cool spot close to us when he overheats

He will need strong boundaries, clear rules and solid fences as he will be a very strong boy. training to walk on a loose leash will be important.

He will thrive in puppy school and it would help to cement rules and boundaries we are teaching him now such as no jumping, waiting at doors and for food and at roads.

He would be great with older kids (12+), however he is getting solid and a bit mouthy so would not be suitable for younger kids.
