More About Cove

Cove is a confident outgoing boy that loves to be involved with everything you do.  Cove and his brother came into care a few weeks ago and as you can expect from a kelpie has shown a keenness to learn, willingness to please, and a desire to be with his people.  Cove is currently living in a home with other dogs and young kids and has started attending a puppy class to further his socialization and training.  Cove is super keen when he sees and meets another dog and he is learning about manners and to not jump up when it comes to the kids.  Cove walks well on lead, knows sit and drop, travels well in the car, has started learning to recall, and toilet training is a work in progress.

Cove’s potential home will be someone keen to continue his training and socialization as he is still in his critical period of learning.  The successful applicant would preferably have a knowledge and has had working dogs previously.  Cove would need to go to a home either with older or no kids and another confident female dog to help show him the way would be preferred but not essential.

Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is successful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.
