Make a donation today

Donating to ARF on a monthly or one-off basis is a way for you to make a meaningful contribution that helps to save lives, support a cause, and make a positive difference in your community.

  1. Helping to save lives: By donating to ARF you are helping to save the lives of dogs who are in distress, homeless, or in need of medical attention.
  2. Making a difference: Animals deserve to be treated with kindness and respect, and making a regular donation to ARF can help make a difference by ensuring that dogs are rescued, rehabilitated, and adopted.
  3. Supporting a cause: People who love dogs or animals can support a cause that is close to their hearts by donating to ARF. It’s a way to make a positive impact and feel good about supporting something that matters.
  4. Regular, predictable funding: Monthly donations allow ARF to plan better and more efficiently, because it provides a regular, predictable stream of funding which helps cover the costs of running the organisation and caring for dogs.
  5. Tax-deductible contribution: Donations made to recognised non-profit organisations are typically tax deductible, which means that individuals can reduce their taxable income while supporting a good cause.

ARF Sponsorship Policy

This policy establishes the framework and guidelines within ARF for the creation of productive partnerships between ARF and the private sector, i.e. sponsorship alliances with corporations, foundations, individuals and other non-government organisations.

The fundamental principles shaping our relationships with sponsors are:

  •  Sponsorship of ARF or of any program or event will not entitle any sponsor to influence any decision of ARF
  •  ARF will not enter into any alliance or partnership with any corporation or organisation where the association with the prospective partner or acceptance of the sponsorship would jeopardise the financial, legal or moral integrity of ARF or adversely impact upon ARF’s standing and reputation in the community. All sponsorships from organisations involved in the retail sale of animals are prohibited
  •  ARF will accept sponsorships as an additional source of revenue generation provided that all sponsorship alliances are developed and maintained throughout
  •  All sponsorship alliances or partnerships must be consistent with current ARF policies
  •  All event and project sponsorships must have significant financial commitment from the sponsor to help offset the costs associated with the activity
  •  Naming rights associated with any sponsorship must be approved by the Committee
  •  Sponsorship over $500 will be embodied in written agreements between ARF and the sponsor-ship partner
  •  Sponsors will be acknowledged on the ARF website and social media

Bequests

As an animal lover you may wish to consider a bequest to ARF through your Will. It would be welcomed in this context as a legacy in the true sense, that is a kind action with long-lasting impact in the future. We are in no doubt that there will be other Rosies in future years – needy and unwanted dogs in the ACT and region whose lives can be saved and improved.

The form of the bequest is for your personal decision: it could be a certain sum, a percentage of your estate, the residue of your estate after other bequests are made,
etc) but in doing so you will need to consult your solicitor. A useful form of words may be as follows:

“I give and bequeath to ACT Rescue and Foster Incorporated (ARF) with ABN 54495663951 for the furtherance of its Objects of Association to save and improve
the lives of dogs in the ACT and region.

[Insert details of bequest]

I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer of ARF shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for my Executor(s).”

We would be happy to acknowledge your bequest on our website and in our reports to membership, if you wish. For further information on how bequests will be used please contact us via email.
