Louie

Louie is a gorgeous, scruffy little man, 9 years young.  He has been a much loved pet who is now looking for his forever home due to the changed circumstances of his elderly owners.

Don’t be fooled by Louie’s age – he is the perfect package – past silly juvenile behaviors but still with plenty of energy and zest for life.  Louie loves his daily walks and exploring new places but is then happy to curl up in his bed and chill with you when he is at home. Louie walks well on lead and travels happily in the car. He loves meeting new people and other dogs, big and small, and has quickly become good friends with the dogs in his foster household.

Louie is housetrained and mastered use of the dog door within minutes.  Given his size and age, Louie prefers to spend most of his at-home time inside, with occasional cruises of the garden or snoozes in the sun. He is good with children but his relationship with cats is yet to be determined.

Whilst Louie is generally calm and confident his previous owners report that he suffers from separation anxiety when left alone. This has not been so evident in Louie’s foster home as he takes comfort from the other dogs in the home and there is someone home much of the time.  Therefore Louie is not a dog that can be left alone all day – his ideal forever home will have someone who is mostly at home and a gentle canine friend.
