Thank you for considering an ARF dog. Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Denzel is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and will be desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST) once his quarantine and vet work are completed.

UPDATE 13 JAN Denzel has found himself a new home and will be moving in later this month.

denzel - 3

Denzel is a big affectionate chunk who arrived in care a couple of weeks ago from the pound, so we are still getting to know him, but have loved what we know of him so far!

This absolute sweetie settled in to his foster home very quickly, and was so glad to have a quiet comfortable area to snooze, which happens to be one of his favourite activities.

denzel - 6

Denzel already knows basic commands like sit, wait, shake, down, and has learned quickly to sit and wait when his foster mum is opening doors in the house, and which areas he is and isn’t allowed. He is motivated by yummy treats, and affection, so can be trained easily! He is toilet trained and very polite, he only goes to the toilet in a private place in the bushes!

When he was handed into the pound Denzel was very overweight and has since lost a few pounds and has some loose skin. He has been doing well on his new diet, and still has some weight to go, so he will need a family that are willing to keep this up. He loves to run next to his human, so will make a great running partner!

denzel - 5

Denzel is happiest at home when he is inside the house and is happy to snooze away in the couch on his own while his foster owners are out. However, he can get quite upset when he is left outside on his own.

denzel - 4

This could mean that he is better suited to a home where he can be inside during the day, or where someone is home much of the time. He could also benefit from having a dog brother or sister, however we haven’t seen much of him with other dogs yet, and will update his info when we know more.
