Gypsy

Gypsy

Animal ID No: ARF988
Rescue Date: 22 February 2022
Adopted Date: 18 March 2022

Gypsy is a 4 1/2 month old Kelpie /Koolie cross. You would have to say she can be a dynamic little character, especially after meals when she is turbo charged. To balance that she has long daytime naps and is good for 10 hours at night in her puppy pen, near her family and the other dogs.

Gypsy has found her forever home and will be moving on when all arrangements are complete.

Every time is playtime to Gypsy. She loves to chew, especially shoes that are still attached to your feet.  She can be a trip hazard, and small children don’t enjoy her style of play. No soft toy is safe.

She is very responsive to her people and training is going well. House training is becoming reliable though not 100% yet. She still needs to be watched when she quietly sneaks off.

She has some working dog traits, regularly stalking the neighbourhood magpies and eyeing the chooks through the fence. She also loves to cuddle. She walks off lead with the other dogs in safe areas and stays with her pack. She has not yet had a lot of exposure to the outside world but doesn’t take long to adapt to strange happenings. Her final puppy vaccine is due this week and she will then be safe  to take out to mingle.

She is not yet de sexed. That is usually delayed until at least 6 months of age, but ARF will subsidise the procedure when it is due.

So any family who believes they can cope with the chaos that is a pup, the required  life long training and enrichment, and the love, have a look at Gypsy.
