Max

Max is a friendly boy who’s parent recently had to move to an assisted living facility.  He enjoys the company of other dogs and has been loving spending time with his new foster siblings Dougal and Alba the Westies.  He loves cuddles on the sofa and watching TV. Max is also very gentle around younger kids.

Max is bird reactive and for that reason we recommend he go to a home without birds or cats. Max is just over 10kg and on the larger size for a small dog.

Max’s favourite way to pass time is to play fetch in the garden and going for long walks by the lake.

Max still needs a little bit of training but has quickly picked up sit and wait commands with the help of some treats. He also likes to impersonate a meerkat at times which gives everyone a little laugh.

Max can be quite protective of his food and toys especially around other dogs, so this needs to be kept in mind at feeding and play time, but is getting better with training. 

Max is toilet trained and very good at using the doggie door, he has also been sleeping in a crate overnight since being in his Foster home.

Max would suit an individual or family who either have another pup to keep him company or who wouldn’t have to leave him at home alone too often. Someone who has time to continue working on his training and provide him with a comfortable lap to sit on would be perfect for Max.
