Thank you for considering an ARF dog. ARF’s NSW Rehoming Organisation Number is R251000000

Most dogs receive several enquiries, and we aim to match the right dog to the right home so that they can enjoy a happy life together. If your enquiry is unsuccessful, rest assured that the foster carer has carefully based their decision on a thorough knowledge and understanding of the dog’s needs.

Pilot is assessed as being in the Silver category in our Perfect Match system and is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and available for $350 (incl GST).

pilot - 1

Pilot is a handsome youngster wanting nothing more than a family to call his own, and someone to keep practicing his superpower on – his puppy-dog eyes are Thor-level irresistible.

pilot - 4

Pilot is an active young gentleman but once he’s had a good walk, he is usually quite happy to snooze in the sun for the rest of the day. He’s mastered the Art of Sit quickly; and is learning other tricks like Down, Stay, Wait, Leave it, and Out. He is toilet trained, and has so far been respectful of house boundaries. He is young though, and will need consistent direction to start with about which toys are his for chewing, and how to effectively discriminate between his bed and your couch.

So far Pilot has loved every person he’s met and is starting to learn the proper way to greet them – i.e. with all four paws on the ground. He will need consistency with this training, as he can still get quite excitable and try to join the fun up at human eye level. For this reason, he’d do best in a home without young children, as his boisterous bouncing could knock littler ones flying unintentionally.

Pilot is learning that his crate is his happy place and he has behaved himself when left to his own devices in house and yard. He is, however, very athletic, so would need good 6ft fences. If anyone is around, he’s focused on them, and wants to be involved, so he will need to allowed inside and included in the family.

pilot - 2

Pilot is still learning appropriate dog-to-dog and leash manners, so would need slow introductions, and a person willing to continue teaching him his etiquette and building his confidence. Once he makes friends though, he has shown he loves playing with other dogs, and can communicate well. He would love to have a companion to lounge with while his humans are away. He doesn’t seem to mind what size the other dogs are, so would probably enjoy meeting any new dog friends that are interested in meeting him. He has shown rather a bit too much interest in the few chickens, rabbits, and kangaroos he’s encountered, so would probably do best in a home without any small animals.

Pilot will need a loving and steady home ready to help him grow into the handsome superstar he is showing he could be. In return Pilot is ready to pour all his sweetness and affection on his new person or people.
