Winnie has been placed on hold whilst we review the current applications. We appreciate your patience during this process. Thanks.
A Mountain Goat in a Cavoodle’s body…. Sounds crazy but it’s not far from the truth. Our wee Winnie will require a secure yard with colourbond fencing to prevent her from showing off her mountain goat capabilities of scaling wooden fences in literally 3 steps. She is definitely more Poodle than King Charles Cavalier, with her long legs and will require stimulation both mental and physical to prevent her from getting up to mischief.
Winnie has not been left alone (without human or dog company) for extended periods of time, however when left with her 2 Westie foster siblings for up to 8 hours max she has been fine. If you were looking to leave her for more than a few hours a day without a furry or human companion this is likely something that would need to be gradually increased and worked on with her.
Winnie loves nothing more than running, jumping and wrestling with her Westie foster siblings, around the house and garden. However, she is also happy to entertain herself with toys when the older dogs run out of energy and her puppy stamina keeps her going until she decides its time to settle down on the sofa for snuggles or to curl up in her crate which has become her safe space.
Winnie has always been gentle when around our toddler nieces and nephews and loves giving them plenty of kisses, chasing them about and chilling on the couch for movie nights.
Winnie definitely has a cheeky side to her, as she has managed to navigate climbing on furniture to get onto the kitchen bench, helping herself to goodies left out and she also has a bit of a foot fetish, so can’t resist giving your feet a lick any time she walks past.
Winne has learned how sit and wait for her dinner, she sleeps in her crate overnight with no issues and knows that when she goes in there it is quiet time. She is toilet trained and able to use a doggy door (we have only had a couple of accidents inside). She will be a great pup for someone or a family who is willing to spend the time continuing her training journey.
Winnie can be reactive to birds in the backyard and when out on walks, but she is very kind when meeting other dogs. For this reason she would be best suited to a house without birds or pocket pets.
