Alfred the Great (Alf) came to live with me on 17 April, 2019.  He was a Kelpie x Heeler, ten years and four months old.

Alf was an ‘always there’ dog. He was at my side wherever I went in the house, at the gate when I came home in the car and on my bed at night. He loved his walks, car rides or just sitting beside me on the back steps in the sun.

He always brought such joy to my life. Unfortunately, after a few months of failing health, he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 30 July, 2023.

Quote: “ Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love, they depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog, it simply expands the heart. If you have loved many dogs, your heart is very big.” Erica Jong.

Alf expanded my heart. R.I.P my darling boy – I miss you!

Grateful thanks to all the big-hearted people in the ARF team.
