The organiser is Di Johnstone, who is a long-standing ARF member and a Committee member. Di has owned ARF and RSPCA dogs and undertaken some ARF emergency foster care.
Di hopes lots of ARF Members and your dogs will come and encourages you to bring along friends and others who would be interested and supportive of ARF.This will be along the RG Menzies walk starting on the path beside the National Carillon and walking to Citizenship Place and back. There is a turnaround point at Rond Terrace for those unable to do the whole distance and seats along the way for those who might need them.  And spectacular lake views. For those with very active dogs, you could keep going all the way across the Commonwealth Ave Bridge and round the lake to the parking at the start!
If you are a Member but don’t have a dog and would just like to come along please do that and enjoy the company and the walk!

There is lots of parking at the outset and a coffee van and seats to enjoy coffee. If you come between 1.30pm and 2pm you can get a pre-walk coffee or coffee and a lunch snack. The van usually closes at 2pm but we have been advised it may stay open till 3pm if there is enough business.
