About Ted

Meet Ted! If you’re looking for a lively active companion who is very quick to learn and loves training then Ted is your man. More About Ted

Ted is a good-natured and active boy who loves to play, run and play some more!  His toys are his world and he is always sorting through to choose which one he wants next.  He also loves playing tug with my small terrier and racing around the yard with him so a home with a doggy friend is a must.

Teddy, still a pup, spent a couple of his early months in the pound. This means he missed out on many vital things a puppy needs. Because little Ted hadn’t been exposed to the world outside early on, he worries about new situations, especially new people.  He has blossomed in many ways but does still need help with confidence and meeting new people. It’s important his new family understand and have experience with a dog who takes time to trust and are committed to helping him grow in confidence. It doesn’t take him long to develop trust so once he’s comfortable, he’ll shower you with affection and love!

Having a confident doggy companion will help him realise new people are ok.   He’s a pretty smart guy and quick to pick up on things especially routine and life in a home environment.  He loves food and treats so it’s easy and a pleasure to teach him new things.  He’s keen to learn, loves all the attention that brings, and is eager to please.  Ted’s love of running always makes us smile and he absolutely loves going for a walk.

Teddy is good with other dogs although a little intimidated by bigger dogs at first but quickly warms up. He can also be a little rude in his play style but is learning fast as my dogs tell him off. He plays a lot with one of them so a home with a female dog would be ideal for Ted.  He also gets his confidence from other dogs so another reason for him to have a canine companion.

Video:  Playing with my dog

Ted has an adventurous nature. He is also upbeat, lively, and inquisitive.  If he’s not playing with one of my dogs, he’ll happily take himself outside to check out the yard, do zoomies or have a game with one of his many toys!

As far as children, he’d be best in a home without kids. He startles easily and the hustle and bustle that naturally comes with children would be too much for him.

Teddy has a lot of energy so a home where he gets a walk each day and playtime with a doggy companion would be perfect.  He’d also love a yard to go sniffing and do zoomies!

Ted sleeps well in his crate overnight, is a good little traveller in the car, and is housetrained.
