Abbey

Abbey

Animal ID No: ARF1335
Rescue Date: 21 January 2023
Adopted Date: 20 May 2023

Abbey is a sweet older girl, who loves nothing more than hanging out with her people. She is well behaved, gentle and affectionate.
Abbey is house trained, car trained and crate trained. She has been fine staying at home for 8 hours while we are at work. She waits patiently for her dinner and takes treats in the most gentle way. She sleeps nicely in her crate overnight, but she would love to be allowed to sleep not too far from her humans.
Abbey’s perfect match:
  • Abbey is a happy, loving girl and would rather be a single dog – she doesn’t want any cats or pocket pets. She can dog reactive, so needs to be ‘the only one’.
  • Abbey likely comes from the country and hasn’t had much exposure to the big wide world. She usually walks pretty well on the lead but will get distracted and a bit nervous if she sees other dogs. She has improved a lot since coming into care but needs her new owners to keep providing guidance and reassurance when meeting other dogs.
  • Abbey is a happy girl and will equally doze all day or get out an explore the world. She loves going on little adventures and needs to be walked at least once a day.
  • She would be fine in an apartment if her people are around, but she also loves exploring the garden.
Abbey’s most adorable behaviours:
  • She has the softest coat. If you give her a bath, she will give you a look clearly asking “Do I look like a cavoodle to you?”;
  • She ‘s a great listener and will give you her most focused look if you are talking to yourself;
  • She loves cosying up under a blanket!
