Betty

Betty (spaghetti) is an absolute treat of a dog, and we have loved looking after her. Betty really loves her people and greets you with a happy wiggly bottom and smile.

Betty would suit a home where she would be included as part of the family and is allowed to be an inside dog (and yes, she is toilet trained!). When at home, Betty is an expert at snoozing and would appreciate being a couch potato. She entertains with her powerful snoring and battle Royale dogy dreams.

Betty is well behaved, and has manners with food, knows sit, shake, wait and would love to try more with you (she is EXTREMELY treat motivated)! Her calm temperament has helped Betty be twice nominated as “best behaved patient”* at Bungendore and Queanbeyan Vet!

Betty is great with kids, and was even going on adventures to schools with the Rangers to promote adoptions. That said, at 35kg, she is quite large though and likes to lean on you to remind you she hasn’t had pats and love in the last 0.3 seconds. Therefore Betty may not suit a house with toddlers or frail elderly.

Betty is moderately energetic, and thoroughly enjoys getting out for two decent walks a day, and boy does she know that word! She walks well on lead and is reasonably well behaved when meeting with other dogs, although she can be a bit bossy so slow introductions are best. From what we have seen, Betty is bird agnostic, appropriate with cats, and fascinated by wild animals (e.g. Kangaroos).

Betty would make a fantastic addition to any home where she can spend her twilight years!
