Bobby

Animal ID No: ARF811
Rescue Date: 18 August 2021
Adopted Date: 2 November 2021

Hi, my name’s Bobby, and my nickname is FOMO.  I really don’t like to think I might miss out on a treat or a tummy rub – I’ll drop everything and come running if there’s a chance of some affection, food or fun – they’re my favourite things!

Now that I’m a teenager (in dog years…I’m not quite one in human years) I’m looking to move out and find my very own family to love.  I must warn you though, I don’t come with the usual traits of a teenage boy…

  • I will always be happy to see you,
  • I don’t make a mess of clothes and toys,
  • I will always finish my breakfast and dinner,
  • I will mop up spills on the floor, and
  • I will be up to greet you every single morning with a waggy tail and a smile on my face.

Seriously, how can you resist me?!

What would I like from you in return?  Well, my ideal life looks a bit like this:

  • I’m an inside/outside dog – I like to snuggle on the sofa with my people, but I also love doing zoomies in the garden;
  • I like to sleep inside at night (on the sofa);
  • I like a variety of fresh fruit and veg in my diet;
  • I like to go on walks and I’m friendly with other dogs;
  • I’ve never been left at home alone, so you might need to work on this with me as I can’t tell you if I’ll like it or not;
  • I currently have a doggy foster brother and we get along really well, but very occasionally I get a little bit jealous, so my foster parents will need to give you some more info about that.

I’m generally a pretty chilled, fun-loving, goofball kind of a guy and I’m happy to amuse myself with a ball or a chew toy, or just laze around. If you’d like to play ball with me, then you’ll be my best friend! I don’t mind if it’s a basketball, AFL ball, tennis ball or my own special dog ball – if it bounces, I will race you for it! Check out some of the pics my foster mum took of me playing with my human foster brother – he’s so much fun!

I am still learning how to be a great canine citizen and will need you to guide me in this – some things spook me and sometimes I’m not sure how to react to certain situations, so an experienced dog owner will be a good match for me.

If you like to be active and have fun, I think we’re going to get along reeeeeally well. Would you like to meet me? Please fill out my form and tell my foster parents a bit about what you can offer me – I can’t wait to meet you!

'Rescued' is my favourite breed
