Bruce

Bruce is an almost 3 year old kelpie who was born and bred on a sheep farm, but who unfortunately did not show much interest in herding sheep. .

He is a tall, good looking, athletic red and tan kelpie with a very friendly nature. He loves attention from his people and is rapidly becoming attached. He gets on well with the other dogs, likes to play zoomies and is discovering tug. He shows submissive behaviour to the other older male dog in the house. He thinks small children are quite interesting, but is content with a sniff and observation.

Bruce is treat motivated and very trainable, with good recall and attention paying to his handler from his days in the paddock. He is not used to the wider world yet but goes on frequent forays into the suburbs with another dog who has seen it all! She gives him confidence. He does appear to be adapting quickly to life in a house, sleeping soundly in his crate or on his bed at night and reliably using the dog doors.

His vet work is completed and Bruce is ready to go to an active home which would continue his introductions to the wider world.He would be a great sporting dog.

He now has met his next family and is waiting to move to his new home.
