Bug (Junior)

Bug (Junior)

Animal ID No: ARF1562
Rescue Date: 18 November 2023
Adopted Date: 22 March 2024

Bug loves being around his people and is the picture of “oversized lap dog”.  He loves cuddles on the couch and will sleep on the bed with you if allowed!  But he is also happy to sleep in his bed as long as he is near his family.

Bug has been living happily with a cat, an older male dog and two young children but we think his preference would to be an only dog so he could get all your attention.  Most of all he’s interested in his people and loves to play and chill in your company.

He is crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, drop, wait for dinner, place and leave it.  Bug is crate trained and sleeps well overnight in his crate if needed.

Bug is fully house trained and will happily take himself outside for toilet breaks as he needs to.

Whilst Bug can live with another dog he can be selective and would need slow introductions. On the whole he would probably prefer not sharing his families  cuddles and love with another dog. He does tend to be strong on lead and bark when he sees other dogs but we are working on this with a professional Trainer so walks can be a more relaxing experience for all. His new family would need to be committed to working to his on going training. Bug doesn’t like it when dogs get “in his face” so is not a dog park dog

So what does Bug Love! He loves going for walks but is also happy to be a lounge lizard keeping you company whilst watching netflix.

He LOVES to play tug-a-war and to chase after a ball but can be a bit hit and miss on whether he will bring it back!

He loves his family and looking at you imploring for one more pat. Doesn’t mind the odd embarrassing photo after being dressed up either lol.

This boy has been used to spending time alone but will need to be homed with a 6foot Colourbond fence as he can be tempted to see whats on the other side. He is at present in a backyard with high fencing and hasn’t made any attempts to jump over.

He’s ready to be a great companion and a big part of your world!
