Cheese

Animal ID No: ARF852
Rescue Date: 1 October 2021
Adopted Date: 21 November 2021

Cheese is a lovely medium-sized, mixed breed 12 year old gentledog who is looking for his forever home to settle into retirement.

He has settled into care really easily and based on his behaviour and personality, seems to have been a well-loved dog.

He has made friends easily with his foster dog brother and sister, although on occasions has become a bit jealous with toys.
He does not at all mind his foster cat brother, and does not harass his backyard foster chickens in their run.

Cheese is a clever boy and can open pantries and fridges if he thinks there is food inside. He will pillage for treats (and general merriment) if left unattended, so any receptacle that has food or food scraps (pantries, dog food, treats, fridges, bins, etc) will need to be secured away from him if he is left inside alone.
He is fine inside in other parts of the house whilst alone. However, as he is an older gentlemen, he would benefit from a home with someone who is home a lot, works from home or has access to the outside during the day as he requires the use of the bathroom multiple times a day.

He loves his daily walks and walks well on the lead. He will happily sniff hello passing dogs but does not make a big fuss about it.
He is cool, calm and collected in the car and in the bath, he’s happy just to be involved in your life.

Even if you are lactose intolerant, you will love this little block of Cheese.
