Daisy
Daisy is a gentle & generally easy-going dog, so long as it understood she is driven by her nose, at most times & in most places. She can be strong on lead when she smells a particularly interesting scent. Occasionally she can be stubborn when out, she stop & sit until convinced by a change of direction or treat
Daisy has good teeth & health for an older dog. She was a little over-weight, but has trimmed down to what the vet thinks a suitable weight. She is keen on food & treats, as well as anything she can scavenge while out on a walk. She is taking a daily joint supplement to support her joints. She is clean inside the house
While Daisy took little notice of the resident greyhound on arrival, she is interested & polite meeting dogs of all shapes & sizes when out. She also took little interest in the resident cats, but will chase should a cat accelerate beyond a walk. Daisy is interested in chickens, she tried digging under a fence to get to the neighbour’s chooks
Daisy has met assorted children & likes them. She travels well in the car
Daisy will do best with a family who understand she is a scent hound & can manage her strength & stubbornness. Her family need to be prepared to maintain her healthy weight, restricting treats & walking her daily. With thoughful introductions, Daisy could live with a a cat or another dog
