Animal ID No: ARF1131
Rescue Date: 12 May 2022
Adopted Date: 21 September 2022

Milo, 8yo staffy

Milo is a handsome man, a true gentle boy, open hearted, loving and very well behaved. And we mean it. He doesn’t pull the leash, waits for you patiently if you tell him so, likes to socialize with other humans and loves his own humans more than anything in the world. Knows how to sit, shake, rest.

Favorite things to do:
Lots of quality sleep (wherever it’s allowed and comfy, especially under AC or surrounded by pillows).
Sunbathing (yes, he likes it hot).
Tug of war (toothies need something to pull, ropes will be handy in doors, outside he will happily fetch either a stick or a tennis ball).
Food (better not leave anything in sight, not to tempt him).
Booty scratches! Oh yes!

You can travel with him easily by car. Very calm boy, sleeps most of the time or staring at the window. By the way, you’d be surprised how well Milo swims. He’s super athletic and jumps really high (another reason you shouldn’t leave something  yummy on a countertop).

He would spend most of the time with you in a room, but won’t bother you too much, sleeping in a comfy place is his choice but if you invite him to sleep on you, he’ll be happy to.

Be cautious with socializing with other dogs. Milo is well behaved and likes to sniff hello with everyone. BUT. If another dog is bigger in size he might start growling as he might consider them a threat. That will be a good sign for you to take him away.

Milo (aka Mr Good Boy) is a blue staffy, as a result lost most of his fur, so outdoor outfit (hoodie/sweater) and pjs for frosty Canberra nights are a must. We think he looks chic.

Staffordshire bull terriers are predisposed to mast cell tumors. Unfortunately, Milo meets the statistics. Fortunately, it was taken out fully, so it doesn’t affect him anymore, but please keep it in mind and scratch him often so you can feel if there are any new growths.

Important: Milo can only live indoors, no other animals. He is good with children. No need to put him in crate: he gets nervous in it and will try to escape, but he is not a chewer and won’t damage to your furniture will occur.

'Rescued' is my favourite breed
