Hi everyone I’m Drake! Or as my foster mum calls me,  Chunky Potato..

I’m a 33kg chunk of pure love and I’m now on the search for my perfect forever home.

Life hasn’t been the easiest for me so far…

I came into the pound suffering a condition called entropion – where my eyelids and eyelashes rolled into my eyes causing painful ulcers. This left me with little vision and constant discomfort and pain.

But since coming into the care of ARF things have gotten a whole lot better!

I’ve had surgery on my eyes to relieve the pain I was in and to help me see and experience the world around me.

And I’ve come to realise.. life is AMAZING!

So a bit about myself…

I love car rides!  Car = Adventures so wherever you want to go I’ll come too!

I love to chew things! Don’t worry your shoes and valuables are safe, I’m a good boy and I only chew my own toys, however, all squeakies and stuffies must be destroyed.

I love tennis balls… I mean.. I LOVE TENNIS BALLS!! They are my absolute favourite thing. If you throw me a tennis ball I will love you forever.

I love food! Which has made me a delight to train. I can sit, lay down, shake, leave it, spin, roll over and I have come a long way with walking nicely on the lead.
My future family should keep up with my training and keep teaching me how to be the best doggie citizen.

I don’t have a lot of stamina and my energy levels are quite low so a walk everyday with some ball and tug play will keep me happy and healthy.

Being so cute is hard work so I am quite a lazy boy and love nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with my humans or snoozing the day away in the sun.

I do have short white hair and sensitive skin so I’m not allowed to be in the sun as much as I’d like. My new family will have to watch my skin and how much sun it gets as I get burn easily.

I love kids! But due to my size my perfect home will have no small children so I can’t knock them over (not on purpose I just don’t realise how big I am sometimes!)

I was introduced to a kitten… it was terrifying. I would be best suited to a home without cats and/or other pocket pets as I’m quite unsure of them.

I love friends of my own kind and would be okay living with another dog as long as we meet first to make sure we like each other.

My perfect forever home will be familiar with bigger breeds, have no young kids, be willing to continue my training, take me for a daily walk and allow me to come inside and be a part of the family.

If you think I sound like the perfect fit for your family, contact my foster mum so you can arrange to come and meet me!
