Frankie

Animal ID No: ARF1270
Rescue Date: 22 October 2022
Adopted Date: 6 November 2022

Frankie is a super friendly little pocket rocket of a dog. He loves playing fetch – whether with a ball or with current toy – and will do this all day if he has a willing ball/toy thrower. He also loves to play tug with the rings. It should, however, be noted that he has a talent for shredding tennis balls (current record is under a minute) so finding robust balls is a good idea to prolong the experience!

Frankie is house trained and knows how to use the dog-door. He currently lives with an elderly dog and settled into his foster home easily. Whilst he has not been crate-trained, he sleeps in his basket all night without a problem. Out on walks, he meets other dogs really well, and if dogs want to play, so much the better! He can pull a little on his lead if he sees someone or something up ahead that he absolutely has to get to faster than he’s currently being allowed to walk.

Frankie would suit a household with a similarly sized playmate, or any playful dog partner for that matter – he’s not fussy. If no four-legged housemate, then two-legged housemate who doesn’t mind throwing balls for long periods of time would be awesome! A good daily walk is also something he really enjoys and if there’s the possibility of more than one then so much the better.

He has been known to get possessive over his humans, but we’re working on his resource guarding – so not suited to a family with small children just yet. He is desexed.

'Rescued' is my favourite breed
