Hi friends! My name is Jake! I’m the goodest boy and can’t wait to find my furever home! Okay, let’s talk about all my amazing qualities –

Walks: I love going on walks everyday! I will sometimes pull on the lead but for the most part I walk well with my human. I get curious of other dogs when I first see them but I do well at just continuing on my way without barking or pulling hard towards other doggos. I also sometimes get curious of other people when walking, but I am working on learning about personal space.

Play: I LOVE tennis balls! I have about ten in the house at all times so I can play with them or bring them to my human to throw. I could literally play fetch for HOURS. It’s simply the best. As for other toys – I like destroying the fuffy ones and really like the ones that have treats hidden inside!

Food: I’m not food aggressive at all, I know to wait for my brekkie and dinner, and I eat right away. I don’t require any special diets or restrictions either.

Home life: I’m pretty chill in the home! I like to lounge around, I’m toilet trained, and I don’t destroy or get into anything when my human leaves. My human works full time so I’m used to be home long hours while you’re at work. I just spend most of my day lounging on the couch looking out the window or napping by the door while I wait for my human to come home. Right now I live in an apartment, I used to live in a house with a yard, but I would be happy with any type of furever home! I also prefer being an only dog, after moving away from my sister (the Irish wolfhound in my photos) I haven’t had much luck making new doggo friends.

Training: I am a smart, obedient doggo – I know sit, down, stay, look, and leave it. I would love to learn new tricks, as I love being a good boy and pleasing my human.

Unknowns: I have never lived with a cat or interacted with children. I can be reactive towards small animals so I don’t think I’d like living with a cat. I am very gentle with humans though after meeting them so I think I would make a great family dog.

Dislikes: I get very scared during thunderstorms so you might have to come comfort me when I go hide from the loud noises. I also don’t like being left in a crate, I failed my crate training but luckily I am well-trained so my humans trust leaving me in the home when they go out. I also hate baths and nail clippers, so it will take some patience to accomplish these tasks.

Overall my ideal furever home has

  • No other dogs, cats, or pocket pets
  • Any home from a unit, townhouse, or single family home
  • Any lifestyle, I’m suitable for a single adult home who works full-time to a family where someone is always home
  • Moderately active human(s) willing to play fetch and go on walks

I think that covers everything!!
