Jed

Jed

Animal ID No: ARF769
Rescue Date: 8 June 2021
Adopted Date: 3 September 2021

“Jed came into ARF care as a stray and is now looking for a calm forever home where his human/s are home more often than not. He needs a family who is patient and willing to work on building his confidence.

You’ll need to have the persistence to keep working with him in order to help him settle in.

He needs you to give him the space to settle and feel comfortable – he initially can have feelings of insecurity – a loving home with boundaries will help him realise the world is not such a scary place.

Jed is crate trained and loves his crate! It is his safe place so he’ll need to have a crate at his forever home where he can sleep at night, and seek refuge and space during the day if necessary.

Jed responds really well to consistent boundaries so he understands exactly what is expected of him. When left to do his own thing, or there’s a change with his boundaries, this inconsistency can make him fearful.

This little guy is looking for a quiet home, without children or noise. He does like to play, but will need time until his routine is established and he’s feeling comfortable.

Jed loves going for adventures, whether it is for a walk, a hike or to the pet store, he will be there with bells on! He is a little mountain goat and loves to climb on whatever he can.

Jed loves his food and gets very vocal when it’s dinner time – it’s a big priority for him. His love of food means he is very attentive during training!

He’s a clever boy and already knows sit, wait (stay), leave it, beg, spin, shake, and off, and is getting very good at drop as well!

'Rescued' is my favourite breed
