Lexi

Lexi

Animal ID No: ARF1420
Rescue Date: 7 May 2023
Adopted Date: 28 August 2023

Lexi is the sweetest snuggle bug you will ever meet. She will be ecstatically happy as long as she is in your arms or on your lap! She will melt into you every chance she gets and will happily spend hours chilling on the couch with her people.

She is not super high energy but will need a decent walk every day. She is only 4 months old and will need lots of training and socialisation to introduce her to the world.

She is extremely in tune with the mood of her environment and looks to her people for guidance when she is unsure how to respond. Lexi has been great with our smaller and older dogs, she is respectful of our older gentleman and gives him the space he needs. She is very playful with the younger of the two and can be a bit on the boisterous side for Tink who is quite small.

She is very food motivated and loves to go on walks with her family. She is very smart and worked out how to let herself in and out using the dog door within a few days. She has also been super easy to toilet train, we have stopped having accidents all together in about 2 weeks. She also worked out the dog door quite quickly by following the other dogs in and out. She can be slightly unsure when experiencing new things, like going to new peoples houses or walking in new places and just needs lots of positive reinforcement, pats and treats to remind her that these things are fun.

Lexi would benefit from a loving family who will include her as a fully fledged member and include her in their daily activities. She would love a doggy brother/sister/playmate in her life. She would not enjoy long periods alone. She would really benefit from ongoing training including puppy school/obedience training and lots of socialisation activities to reinforce the fun things in life. She will be on the medium to large side so would be better around older kids.

She will make and extremely loving and loyal family member.
