Little girl (black with white collar) One of three dogs rescued from Forbes – we were alerted by a post from Facebook which came into the surrrender email box about 3 dogs living on chains in country NSW. After several different emails, it was determined that these dogs could be boarded short term until we find carers. These dogs are 8 months old and are from an ‘accidental’ litter (Border Collie x ACD).
They were collected by the transporter who is arranging for their vaccination and microchipping before they arrive in Canberra. They can be boarded with Balanced Dog Training if we have not found carers prior to that.
Michaela has advised that Bear (black and white boy) came across very uneasy at first. The female has show affection, but the three dogs have had a big change of lifestyle. Michaela will keep us updated on their progress before they come to Canberra on 25 February 2024.
The animal welfare group that originally alerted us to the dogs has offered to pay for the vaccination and desexing of all three dogs.
