Oliver

Oliver is a sweet young boy that came into care from a regional pound with his brother Connor. Since coming into care Oliver has become more confident, but as everything is a new experience, he will need a family that is patient with him and show him the world is not a scary place.

Oliver’s love languages are play and food; he loves toys and is happy to self-play while his people are out but he also enjoys a good game of fetch and tug. Oliver is a quick learner and eager to please, he will need boundaries put in place so he can understand how to follow the rules. Oliver is an active dog that will need to be walked regularly and provided with mental stimulation through puzzles and games. He will also need to attend training classes where he can get exposure to new things and also general obedience.

Oliver is working on his toilet training and is doing really well, he will still have the occasional accident when he forgets that he needs to go or busy playing, so his new family will need to be understanding but also consistent with his toilet training. Oliver gets a lot of confidence from other dogs and currently lives with three dogs where he has shown he can play nicely and knows when to be calm and respectful. He is looking for a home that has a calm (yet playful) resident dog that can show him the ropes. He has not seen or met cats or any pocket pets, he may not be suited to living with cats or other pets until he can attend training and settle. Oliver will need good fencing (6ft), have indoor/outdoor access and have a home where he part of the family and included in day-to-day life. He has not met any kids yet, but could go with older dog savvy children.
