Pleased to meet you, my name is Piper. Don’t let my age or white accentuated face fool you, I am 12 years young and still got lots of life to live. My foster family says I’m a bundle of love (and affection) wrapped up in a little, cute stocky staffy body.

I came to be in this particular situation because my parents had to go into aged care and could not take or look after me. I am therefore used to having people around me a lot so would need a family who is home regularly. As such, I do have separation and some anxiety issues. My favourite past times are sleeping, eating, going for daily walks, playing with toys, chasing balls and cuddling. Of course, to keep up my energy levels, I have a good appetite. In saying that, I have a shiny coat and look trim taunt and terrific I might add.

I’m not a fan of cats but I currently live with two foster dog siblings and its working out extremely well. I love having a brother and sister. I walk well on a lead and I know how to sit. I do need to learn manners and my foster family has been teaching me new things like wait and go – who says you can’t teach old dogs new tricks?! Being an indoor dog I am toilet trained and use the doggy doors easily.

If you were to ask me who my perfect family would be, I would say:

  • Home quite a lot
  • Includes me in outings and trips
  • Treats me like one of the family
  • Has a sturdy fence with no gaps or places to dig
  • Likes lots of cuddles
  • Likes to have two shadows – yours and mine

If I sound like your perfect match, please complete the application below.

'Rescued' is my favourite breed
