Pepper

Pepper

Animal ID No: ARF951
Rescue Date: 19 January 2022
Adopted Date: 6 February 2022

Pepper is a lovely laid-back dog who appreciates the finer things in life, like a kong stuffed with chicken, a soft warm bed, and curling up at the feet of her person in the evening. She is soft natured and loves just hanging out wherever you are. She is used to spending a lot of time inside, and needs a home where she is allowed inside with her family.

She has a wonderful start on her basic training, and knows sit, drop, and to wait politely for her dinner. She is toilet trained and sleeps through the night in her crate, does not jump all over the furniture, and is quiet as a mouse around the house. She has been doing well learning the rules in her foster home, and while she can greet you a little too enthusiastically when you get home she just needs a gentle reminder not to jump up if she forgets herself in her excitement.

Pepper seems to be quite an independent lass who has been content snoozing away on the back step waiting for her foster carer to come home each day, especially if she has a kong or toy to keep her entertained, and a walk morning and night to stretch her legs. She walks relatively well with a harness, but does likes to take the time to stop and smell the roses and be strong on the lead if she is really enjoying a particular smell!

While Pepper gets excited seeing dogs when she is out and about, she must be the only dog in her new home, and is not suited to dog parks or playdates with other dogs. She did get quite excited seeing a cat on a walk so she probably best to go to a home where she is the only pet. She has not been tested with kids, but we think she would really like a quiet home.

If you think Pepper sounds like the dog for you, then feel free to send some information about the life you can offer Pepper to her foster carer using the form below.
