Lottie

Lottie

Animal ID No: ARF1468
Rescue Date: 9 October 2023
Adopted Date: 16 February 2024

Lottie found herself at the pound with her sister, Lulu, at the young age of three months (see separate profile) through no fault of her own. Unfortunately, the sisters were in the pound for five months until ARF brought them into care and arranged private accommodation for them at a kennel, as there were no foster carers available to take them in.

ARF put together a team of volunteers and a professional trainer to work with the girls to ensure they caught up on their training and understanding of the world they would be living in.

Lottie has progressed exceptionally well and is a favourite of the ARF team and kennel staff (as is her sister!). She is a great student who is eager to learn but can have moments of self-doubt if she encounters something new. With encouragement, she willingly checks out unfamiliar things if given the time and space to do so. She is a gentle soul who will thrive in a home that can give her the patience and understanding to navigate some of these new things and to build on her training as she moves into her adolescence.

Lottie loves company and enjoys a good pat and cuddle, leaning in close to make sure she doesn’t miss out. She will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal companion but will need a very secure yard to keep her contained. It’s not that hard and ARF can help with suggestions on how to go about doing this.
