Raven

Raven

Animal ID No: ARF838
Rescue Date: 14 August 2021
Adopted Date: 20 August 2021

Raven is sassy little pup who will grow up to be a medium large dog. Swiss Shepherds whilst a stunning breed visually do need a lot of work as they are highly intelligent so need their brains to be mentally stimulated everyday and also will require a lot of exercise.

She is currently living with her canine foster brothers and is loving those interactions but she also adores her people. She has to have scheduled nap times otherwise she will just keep going however the longer she has been in care she is learning just to chill with the other dogs around.

She would ideally be in a home with a family with older children who have also had experience with Shepherds before. She will require regular brushing as she has linger during and she does shed.

Like with any dog adopted during these times especially pups she will require extra commitment in ensuring that she becomes a great doggy citizen so even though you need to think smarter and safer with it, still getting her out into the community to get environmental enrichment and desensitisation. In terms of puppy schools etc obviously these are currently being done online with success however if you are able to meet up with people with dogs with sound temperaments going for your hour exercise with them with masks of course would be great.

Adopting a puppy during this lockdown period requires a higher commitment to ensuring that your dog comes out of lockdown as well balanced as we hope you do!
