Sora

Sora

Animal ID No: ARF1486
Rescue Date: 21 July 2023
Adopted Date: 23 September 2023

This sweet, smushy little girl is Sora.

She can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but with the right person/people she will warm up and fall in love.
Sora is best suited in a calm home where she can settle into a daily routine that involves lots of sleeping in the sun, slow daily (or more) walks and plenty of food puzzles.
She looks to her humans for guidance and protection when she is unsure, as she has general anxiety she will need someone who is dedicated to helping continue her positive exposure to the world. In return, she will be your best little friend and offer plenty of cuddles and love.

She is quite afraid of loud, sudden noises or movements and therefore would prefer a home without children.

She can live with another dog, but her prefurred (preferred furry) housemate would be one who is around the same age as her or older, who is calm and confident and can show her that life isn’t all that scary.

Sniffing is one of Sora’s most favoured hobbies, she is nose to the ground for most of her walks. She is looking for a leisurely walking buddy, someone who is really okay to stop and smell the flowers as she prefers plenty of time on her walks to really get her nose into everything.

As she is still working on her confidence, she will need slow, careful introductions to other dogs, and confidence building activities when she passes other dogs on her walks.

She has been fine with her foster cat and often just walks past him without giving him a second glance. However, she will need slow introductions with any animal housemates. She would not do well with pocket pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, etc).

Sora is an enthusiastic diner and very much enjoys her mealtimes. Any opportunity she gets for food, she is all for. She doesn’t have a lot of commands under her belt, but will try her hardest to learn if there are treats on the line.
